Good location, rooms made up each morning, free internet in lobby, double glazing on windows so very quiet, curtains very good keeping room dark, aircon great.
When there was a cue of customers at front desk, there was only 1 person on the desk whilst a number of staff stayed in the office which was annoying.
It was our first trip to Madrid and it turned out to be a great destination for a city break. The hotel was modern, had well appointed rooms, breakfasts provided were good and staff members were helpful and polite. The hotel was also well located in the city.(within walking distance to many of the main attractions and near Metro stations). The Madrid Metro system was really good and easy to navigate. All things considered Madrid is a city which we would advise others to visit.
The hotel is very clean and quiet, with pleasant modern design and attentive staff, wireless free internet in the rooms. Everything was fine and we enjoyed staying in this hotel very much. We also loved comfortable and big beds and liked the fact that our son could stay there for free and have his own bed. Also the location is great, exceptionally quiet (however ask for a room on the backyard side), close to the park and not far away from the city centre, reachable on foot. Also the next metro stop is 2 minutes walk from the hotel.
I still don't understand why the kitchenette is not equipped in basic stuff such as a kettle, some plates and cutlery? This would be a very welcomed addition to this almost perfect hotel :).
It was a very nice and clean hotel with good location, the staff was nice to us and we had wireless internet in room. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel so we don't have an oppinion on that. We had the airplane at 2 am so we left the luggage at the hotel's reception and there were no problems.
The hotel is very good located (near city center), there's a metro station and shopping center in the neighbourhood. Free and fast internet in the room (cable). Private parking was much cheaper then it was announced.
There's a little kitchen in the room, but there's no any dishes!!! (no teapot, no cups, no spoons, forks, etc...) It makes kitchen useless. No heating in the room, only noisy aircon (in Madrid is quite cold in january). After room was cleand we didn't find our toothpaste...
The location of the hotel and the confort of the rooms. My room was big enough. The decoration was modern and very pleasent. The price was a last-hour promotion, very competitive.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the kitchen had no tools at all. No knifes, no plates, no napkins, no spoons, no forks. 2 glasses was the all tool stuff of the kitchen. A kitchen like this is useless.
The location is very good: the centre but the quiet street at the same time. But opposite to the hotel is the school so you won't sleep after 8.30 (the children won't let you), if only you are not lucky to have windows on the inner court. The rooms are rather spacy (specially in comparison with Paris hotels), the facilities are good. They have mini-bar, fan, condition. The style is also very nice.
It was not as quiet as I expected thanks to the school opposite the hotel. And the breakfast could have been more "healthy" (more fruits, yogurt etc). But to say truth the hotel is nearly perfect, I can't say that I really didn't like anything.
Very good hotel with a resonable price. Our room was big enough for a family with two little kids. The surrounding area is calm and the hotel is just 1 minute walk to Plaza Esapna.Breakfast was convenient and the price was cheaper than what was stated on Booked.net ( 6 euros compared with 12 euros).
The internet service was not great but they said that this was a temporary prpblem.
The bed is large. The Internet is free. The location is very good and the staff is helpful.
The cleaning of the room is not very thorough. They never cleaned the glass and cup that we used. Also I stayed 5 nights in the hotel, I only got the tooth-brush on the first night. They did not re-furnish the bath room supply after that.
It was great to be offered an upgrade. The room was spacious. Location was not in the heart of Madrid but close to Metro and the tourist bus so we did not find location to be an issue for us. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free internet a bonus.
we tried the breakfast on one morning (being offered at half price) and found it a little disappointing.
We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend stag do party, ten of us, the staff were great and the place was spotless, a 5 minutue walk from the metro and ten minute walk to the city centre, a bar and shop within a minute walking distance, and a large supermarket about a 4 minute walk on the same road, there are no cooking items at all in the room an no cuttlery however with so many bars and restaurants around why cook anything. We had a great time and not one of the other ten guys could fault the hotel either
We were in Madrid for the first time and all of us were happy with the situation of the hotel. Our triple room was quite a big regarding the usual standard rooms in Europe. The beds were also big and comfortable. There is a small kitchen in the room, with microwave and other cooking facilities, which is very useful. We didn’t take a breakfast in the hotel, so can’t give any opinion about it’s quality, but anyway I’m sure the breakfast should be perfect as almost everything in this hotel. By the way, there is very cute small restaurant at the same street named Vienna, where we went for the lunch. Laura (from reception) recommended this restaurant to us and we appreciated it very much. The hotel staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, with excellent English. The efficiency and attitude of the receptionists were really excellent. Especially Laura (with long dark hair :) ), she is so kind, helpful and polite!!! Super!!! Lots of thanks especially to her! :) Hotel has really great location. It’s a safe and calm area, even though it’s a center of Madrid. You can reach all main places such are Plaza De Espana, Templo De Debod, Gran Via, Puerta Del Sol, Palacio Real, Teatro Real, and Plaza Mayor in a few minutes. The hotel is about 5 minutes walking from nearest metro statiosn (Plaza De Espana) and all the other main sights (Museo Nacional del Prado, Museo Thyssen, Museo Nacional Centro De Arte Reina Sofia, Parque Del El Retiro, Real Jardin Botanico, Museo De Lazaro Galdiano, Real Academia De Bella Artes De San Fernando) are within 4-5 metro stops. Becides this, one of the most original, cute and beautiful museums in Madrid – Museo Cerralbo right at the first crossing street. We would definitely stay in Sercotel Suites Viena the next time we are in Madrid.
Wi-Fi is a little bit slow.
Very good location, clean rooms, good and enough breakfast, public PC in the hall that you can use for free
Because of the thin walls we could hear all noices. We lived in the 2nd floor and the road works were pretty annoying. A bit more English or German channels on telly would be better, however if you speak Spanish you can choose amoung tons of channels. Our bank account was charged 15 days before arrival - you have to keep in mind this
Excellent hotel. Lovely spacious rooms, very friendly staff, excellent paid breakfast. Good location 10 mins walk from Plaza Mayor.
The wifi did not work in the bedroom but worked no problem in the lobby.
Lovely hotel with the reasonable cost.
